Some things I have learned in the past 3 weeks (or so..)

  • Always keep a spare key. It's pretty awkward when your roommate (who you don't know very well) is 30 miles away when you lock yourself out of your house and has to come home to let you in..oops.
  • Hyper cats are cute for like 10 minutes. Then never again.
  • It takes some skill to put up a bulletin board. Who knew?
  • Running really does relieve stress.
  • So does laughing. And crying.
  • It's okay to be who you really are. Really.
  • Laughter is contagious. And sometimes funny in and of itself.
  • Life is so unpredictable.
  • Teaching is a lot of work, and I have no idea what I'm doing.
  • I will learn to love living here..not yet. But someday.
  • People appreciate when you ask questions. Especially teachers. I don't think they can help it :)
  • Romans 8:28. "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." All things. Learning to trust this..
  • First impressions aren't always everything.
  • I love being a teacher.
  • Fellowship is such a blessing. Being without it sucks.
  • God takes care of me so well. There really aren't words.
It's been an exciting couple of weeks! It's been a lot to take in, but I think I'm starting to settle down at least a little bit. Starting week 2 of teaching tomorrow!
