Luke passed away today after a courageous 2-year battle with cancer. He was diagnosed almost exactly 2 years ago to the day at age 14. Luke has set an amazing example of bravery and has had such a positive attitude during the past two years. He never complained. Ever. I'm really amazed at his maturity and strength.
I had the privilege of teaching Luke for three trimesters, and got to know him a little bit. I have a few memories of him that I hope I will never forget. I know that there are some lessons that I will definitely take from his example.
The coming week is Snow Week at our school. It will be a difficult week. Please pray for the Letellier family - Luke's parents, his older sister and younger brother. Pray for the students at school as they lose another friend and classmate this year. Pray for Luke's funeral, as that will be an amazing opportunity to share the gospel with SO MANY students at one time.
Praise the Lord for His Salvation, and the hope we can have in His promises, and for the peace that He has given to Luke after these two years.
