Luke

Please continue to pray for Luke. They keep finding more tumors and decided about a week and a half ago to stop the chemo and radiation and just give him meds for pain management.

I am continually amazed and humbled. He comes to school every day that he can. He turns in his homework. He participates in class and makes jokes about driving too fast and racing his friends. He never. ever. never complains. I have not once heard a complaint from him, except once when he apparently didn't really enjoy the pep fest. Approximately 5 days or so before he had a pump put in to manage his extreme pain (as it was described by his nurse) he asked to go to the bathroom. When I asked if he was feeling alright he said "oh yeah, my stomach is just a little sore today." A little sore vs. extreme pain, huh? Slight difference there..I'm just continually blown away by the way Luke handles himself and the situation. I'm sure that I can't even begin to know how amazing it actually is.

If you would, or if you think of it, please pray for Luke and his family and for our school during the next few months. Pray that the Lord's goodness and perfect love would be evident during this time.

1 Kings 8:59-60
59
And may these words of mine, which I have prayed before the LORD, be near to the LORD our God day and night, that he may uphold the cause of his servant and the cause of his people Israel according to each day’s need, 60 so that all the peoples of the earth may know that the LORD is God and that there is no other.
